What we collect
When you contact us or submit the AI scan: your name, your email address, your company if you give it, and the message or scan answers you submit.
When you book a call: the scheduling details you enter with our booking provider.
When you visit: our web host keeps standard server logs, including IP addresses, for security and reliability. To limit abuse, our form endpoint also keeps a one-way, unreadable record of addresses that submitted recently. It holds these for up to two hours and then deletes them. We never store your IP address in a readable form.
That is all. We do not run website analytics, so we do not track which pages you visit, how far you scroll, or what you click.
What we don't do
- We don't sell your personal data, or share it for anyone else's marketing.
- We don't add you to a mailing list. If you contact us, we reply. That's it.
- We don't use a third-party form service. Your submission is handled by our own endpoint on our own hosting and arrives in our inbox.
- We don't set analytics or advertising cookies.
Why we use it
- To reply to you and to arrange a call if you want one.
- To keep the site working and secure, including preventing spam and abuse.
For visitors in the EU, UK and other places with similar law: our lawful basis for replying to you is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, and our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries about our services. Our basis for security logging is our legitimate interest in keeping the site available and free from abuse.
Cookies
We use only what the site needs to function. We do not set analytics or advertising cookies, and there is nothing here to opt out of. If our booking provider is used, it may set its own cookies on its own pages, and its policy applies there.
If we introduce analytics in future, this section will be updated first, and any non-essential cookies will be off until you choose otherwise.
Who else is involved
- Hostinger: our web host, on servers in Germany. Runs the site, the form endpoint and our email.
- Calendly: used to schedule calls, if you choose to book one.
That is the complete list.
Where your data is
The site, the form endpoint and our email are hosted on servers in Germany, inside the EU. If you contact us from the EU or the UK, your data stays in the EU when it reaches us.
We are based in Beirut, and we read and answer your message from there. So while your data is stored in Germany, we access it from Lebanon.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry and scan submissions for as long as we need them to respond and to carry out any work that follows, and in any case no longer than 24 months after our last contact with you, after which they are deleted. Server logs are kept for a short period for security purposes and then discarded.
You can ask us to delete your data sooner. See below.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, to correct it, to delete it, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to withdraw consent where we relied on it.
To exercise any of these, email info@afaaqadvisory.com. We'll respond within 30 days. There is no charge.
If you are in the EU or UK and you think we've handled your data improperly, you also have the right to complain to your national data protection authority.
Security
Submissions are sent over an encrypted connection and delivered to a mailbox we control. We take reasonable measures to protect your data, but no method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security.
Children
This site is intended for businesses and is not directed at anyone under 18. We don't knowingly collect data from children.
Changes
We may update this policy. The "last updated" date above will change when we do.
